Principle of remote sensing
About This Course
This course introduces the theory and techniques of remote sensing and their application in geographic variables. It emphasizes computer algorithms and digital image processing techniques. It gives basic concepts and definitions of remote sensing and its applications. It deals with the description of electromagnetic energy and its interaction with the atmosphere and the surface of the earth. This course also explains the platforms in aerial and space-borne imagery, Visual image interpretation, image enhancement, image classification methods, and the technology of the global positioning system.
